Technical characteristics

Agronomic characteristics:

Domestic alfalfa with a remarkable spread in Italy and abroad; well-adaptable to different types of soils. Poliannual forage plant with erect and solid stem and with strong leaves. Green matter is very palatable and very rich in nutrients.

Sowing:

autumn or spring with 25-30 kg/ha.

Production:

generally after the first year, 5 cuttings are possible and if irrigated it can reach up to 8 cuttings, yielding abundant and elevated quality forage production; second cutting usually gives seed production with 400 to 800 kg/ha, depending on climatic conditions.

Tolerance:

good tolerance to frost, drought, diseases, flattening and aphids.
